Anne Byrne

Heading 4

Anne began working with clay in the late 1970's following pottery classes at Bear Creek Art Centre and Kwantlen Polytechnic University Fine Arts Program in Surrey, B.C. where she was a recipient of the Olea Davies award from the B.C. Potters Guild.

Retired from nursing, now living on Saltspring Island, Anne is a full-time potter working from her home studio. She produces functional stoneware gas-fired in a large reduction kiln. "My emphasis is on pieces for table use, frequently embellished with dragonflies and local sheep of my own design for enhanced enjoyment."
