I began working with clay in the 1970s. We moved to Salt Spring in 1976 and I subsequently studied ceramics at Malaspina College in Nanaimo.
For many years I made wheel-thrown functional tableware decorated with brushwork designs. Lately I began hand-building vessels textured with materials from nature. I incorporate patterns of seashells, flowers, leaves and grasses in my work and I use a palette of earthy glazes. These pieces reflect my beloved garden and the forest surrounding my home.
After many years of showing in a local gallery, I now display my work only in selected shows and exhibitions.
