My passion for natural harmonic proportion in both music and clay finds its roots in my childhood when I was saturated in music and “the arts.” My ceramic venture began at the Banff School of Fine Arts, where in 1969 I received a Senior Certificate in Ceramics.
I completed my Bachelor Degree in Music in 1975 at the University of Victoria with a major in composition and theory.
My environment greatly influences my work. My studio is located on Salt Spring Island overlooking a clam beach teaming with life and tidal trophies. My work with crystalline glazes hopefully reflects "The Song of the Sea."
