Monthly meetings are held on the first Friday of each month at each other''''s home or studio. We have more than 40 members and are a mix of:
  • Full time professional potters who exhibit and sell in galleries and shows nationally and internationally and in their studios on Salt Spring.
  • Part time potters and clay sculpture artists who exhibit and sell on and off island
  • Beginning potters who show and sell with the Guild and primarily on island.

Salt Spring Island Potters Guild

Founded in 1969, we are one of the oldest potters' guilds in Canada. We welcome everyone interested in clay. Please drop in to our regular meeting on the third Friday of the month and find out more about us. Our mission is to:
  • share the expertise and resources of our guild members
  • organize exhibitions, sales and special displays of members ' work
  • cooperate with other craft Guilds to mount collaborative shows
  • mentor and encourage beginners
  • provide learning opportunities
  • promote ceramics in our community
